I'm working on a novel based in the Kal area in mid 70's.
Can anyone tell me when Hannans beer was first sold in cans?
I'm trying to establish credibility and historical detail.

Working on it. My Brother in law lived in Kal at the time, we're texting him at the moment.
Didn't work, he has no idea. All he said was Bondy, who owned Swan beer at the time, bought out Hannans and closed it down.
Maybe no help but the old bloke who owns Agnew Hotel would have a fair idea.
FWIW my dad played the last post at the ceremony when they buried the last keg of Hannans so I can tell you when they stopped. Even less help, but interesting lol

The Agnew Hotel is gone Mark was a rough but good pub for an overnight stop.
