Like Aldi it doesn't impress the first time(s).
I worked nearby and the fuel price made it worth membership.. one day I put $20 in on the highway and then filled the rest of the tank at costco and it was 26c/litre cheaper.
Because I had membership I shopped there a lot.
Generally what I found was they were different to the common misconception: 26 litre jars of the cheapest mayo you can get for $3 (ie massive, poor quality, cheap)
What I found was: they chose the best brand and stocked only that, then the bulk(ish) purchase brought it back to similar cost to cheap brands elsewhere.
Also: Thurs or Fri evenings you can eat free, seriously one time they had about 5 hot food and 5 cold food samples going at once, and decent serves like whole slices of pizza or bowls of curry.
My favourite purchases were the frozen laksa/pad thai/tom yum range, add in some of their prawn hargow for a big tasty asian meal for under $5. The fresh salads from 'the salad servers' were great, cook at home pizzas too, and the mince at $7kg with <10% fat is a bargain. The alaskan salmon bbq patties are amazing for quick healthy family weekend lunches.

I have only been to one inthe US. But they had lobsters, fillet mingons etc. and cheap (well compared to AUD anyway) unsure how it compared us to us. maybee its not the same here

I've done them all. 
Well I reckon they have the best hearing aids by far &there cheaper &the service from them regarding that is the best in the business.
I did see an xd model ltd hearse for sale at $2500 today so maybe you could get that &your coffin &well unfortunately you cant really do it all yourself but if you dug your own hole I reckon you could get someone to drive you there &back it up &slide you in &fill it for an extra couple cartons

They had a shortage of bog rolls here in Japan in the seventies. People bulk buy from the regular sales like crazy . . . Just in case, again.
