Tried drinking this stuff over the years and couldn't take a liking to it. So about 3 weeks ago decided to go cold turkey on the sugar laced coffee and stick with the green tea. I assumed that after a couple of weeks my taste buds may come to appreciate the flavour, but alas no.

Voiced my lack of appreciation to the office girl and she side she use to drink green tea for years, and then added it tasted just as s$%t house on the last cut as it did on the first. What chance have I got.

Is this another case of "The King has no clothes on" or is there some mystical brand of Green Tea I need to experience before I reach enlightenment.

Turned total soft c0ck a couple of years ago and can only drink decaf green tea now.

Green tea, 80degC for 80 secs otherwise it goes bitter

I three quarter fill cup with boiling water then top the rest with tap, only let it brew for 80 sec and all should be a good as green tea gets.

I think a lot of these teas are heavily steeped in wank factor.

The King has no clothes on.

When I used to work in a place that was full of people who would talk about coffee ad nauseum during morning tea, I would sip on my glass of cordial just to be contrary.

My cafe specialising in leaf teas and coffee, loose leaf is by far the best, freshness is really important alongside how it's stored, if it's bags which we don't do ensure it's foil bagged then place into an airtight container, don't stew it especially green teas peppermints, jasmine etc, same goes with coffee we use one of the finest Colombian , New Guinea , Ethiopian beans, and grind to order, combine that with correct tamp, flow rate, grind texture, glossing and temp of milk makes all the difference,
i love my coffee and cup of Yorkshire tea, yahava do great loose leaf teas if looking for one, I'm also a believer in what vessel it's drunk from, we use fine china for teas, same with coffee, I wouldn't dream of having one of ours out of a take away

Green tea tastes like shizz.
Prefer black tea with milk.
Barista Coffee is pointless. Instant tastes better.

Yeah sort of agree Shifu. And the best expresso I've had has the word Martini attached to the end of it. And normally don't get stuck into them until after a session on the amber. So I'm not even sure what they taste like when stone cold sober.

Back to the purchased coffee. Was staying at a pub the other night and the cook asked me if I wanted a coffee with my bacon and eggs (breakfast), well yeah I said and he replied, get over here and make it yourself. He did me right, as the first coffee you have in the morning must be right and I know how to make what I like. To this day I've never been able to buy a barrister black coffee that tasted any good. So when I'm faced with these purchased coffees, I go for a cappuccino, la de da.

And after standing in line for the bloody thing, watching some one ponce around for 5 minutes to make each mug (yeah all coffee should come in a mug), I can see why they invented instant coffee. Just try buying a simple large cup of black coffee, the barrister looks at you like you are speaking a foreign language or we don't sell that here, this is a coffee shop.

Maybe be I'll just stick with Bundy OP, it has never let me down and always backed me up in a fight.

Sorry cauncy (only having fun)

There are many different varieties. I don't like most of them, but can drink them -- most taste like dirt. I do actually like matcha, but that's a special thing and not what you'd be making at home -- or buying from a vending machine/convenience store.

You'd be better off with proper roasted and ground black coffee, skip the milk and sugar. Instant coffee is the **** they sweep up off the floor from under the compost stands at the Running's garden center. Fact.

A little percolator takes a few minutes, a drip is easier and you can get metal mesh filters. I used to make a liter thermos for taking to work... Yum!

Sorry to be picky but Yorkshire tea is black, not green. And Oolong is usually sickeningly sweet, unless you brew it yourself and that's a hassle.
