Okay, so I am pretty crazy about GoT so I like to find fellow minds wherever I go. So guys and girls come up. How many of you are GoT fans?
I'm a convert, one of the best things I've done was to get a Got. Trust me you'll never look back.
Just one question, was is it but? ![]()
Had friends drooling over how good it is so they lent me a couple of seasons. I was going on holiday in a remote area so I ripped it onto a USB. Got there watched 1st episode and prayed it would get better.... Nup titillating rubbish. A pox on it my good Lord.
I wonder Wall what else can you recommend to watch? Maybe if we had reds we could easily vote?![]()
I've read all the books but have never watched an episode .
Read the books then watched the show. Both have their merits and both enjoyable. I'm a fan. However its annoying the next book has not come out before the TV show because the stories are slightly different now. It seems like the TV show story is going to become the dominant one which is a bit unfortunate.
Isn't it sort of Home and Away set in medieval times?
Fantasy that takes elements from history and winds them together with banter..
Dothraki - steppe horse nomads
The Wall and the Wildlings - Hadrian's Wall and the Scott's
Wild Fire - Greek Fire
Winter is coming - Chemtrails
Ned Stark - Tony Abbot
And so on..
The show has now moved on from the books, and has really gone south. Without the source text it's descended into clunky dialogue and fart jokes..
Season 1 10/10
Season 6 3.5/10
