As a long term user of seabreeze, I see people regularly asking non kiting related questions on this forum and getting valuable answers in most instances.

It made me think that as a kiter, I would much rather deal with someone with the same passion whenever I am looking for a plumber an electrician, someone to rebuild my pergola or simply a good advice.

However, I would strongly dislike people for pimping their business at every opportunities.

Maybe, we could have a post where you simply state your business name, contact details and the nature of your trade, I know where I would look first when I require someone.

This could be contrary to the forum rules so I am not asking people to go ahead and pass on their details, simply hoping that if enough people post their support of this idea and Laurie has no issue with it, it would take 5 mn to get it started.

Let us know your thoughts

What if there was a 'Tab' similar to Buy and Sell, where you could post details or a business card.. Would be the only place where you could post your details (and trade) but without any further advertising. That way if you wanted anything and prefered a SBer to help you go to the specific section. Any aditional advertising other then "I'm Joe, a plumer and my number is xxxx" could come with a fee.

If you want to advertise contact Lauire and pay the $$$$$s

To me we are all here to ask for comments on topics, we don't have to pay to post a topic or for the advice given which is a blessing as some advice is worthless (I know this to be true as I have given plenty of said advice)

We share our thrills and spills because we all have common interest, we swap opinions, take cheep shots at out mates etc etc.

If your jungle curry is about to blow your head off, put salt on your tongue for a while. It pulls the heat out and allows you another few mouthfulls before it starts again.

Crap, sorry, that was specific advice

Yup, I'm with Craig on this one, Laurie needs to pay his bills too. Perhaps a forum trades and services section in the buy and sell is an idea?

But it happens fairly regularly on here anyway. Often you see posts asking for people in their area to help them out. Provided it's just in text form, I don't see the difference. Agreed anything beyond that should be at a cost.

I don't have a business/trade nor employed in a business or trade that would benefit me from doing so. So I don't have an interest in it other than I think it's a good idea.

You can remove blood stains from clothes, shoes, sheets, gloves, ropes etc. by applying a small amount of diluted ammonia to the area with a cotton swab. Machine-wash the fabric using an enzyme detergent (most standard laundry soaps are enzyme-based), which breaks down protein stains. Make sure the blood has lifted before putting fabric in the dryer, as the heat will set the stain.

If you need to remove blood stains, it must be a dirty business that you have here...

Try to run your life with these as the underscore:-
*don’t argue with idiots – bystanders often can’t tell the difference
*never sleep with anyone crazier than your self
*permanence is an illusion
*and the principle cause of suffering is wanting things

Lol, priceless,
Thank you for the laugh.
Advertising on seabreeze makes sense for a kite related business, not to the multitude of other services that you may require (recent example, a dentist in Bali, investment properties...).
I just thought that an easy directory where you could find the details of like minded people would have been great

Well ill be damned, is there a thread about a dentist in Bali investing in properties, they must charge a packet, or a bodyboard cover

make love not war
or as the conchords say:

If every soldier in the world
Put down his weapon and picked up a woman
What a peaceful world this world would be
Redheads not warheads, blonde's not bombs
We're talking about brunettes not fighter jets
Oh, it's got to be sweet 16's not M-16's
When will the government realize
It's got to be funky sexy ladies?

Don't criticise someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and they'll have no shoes.

Never pee into the wind wearing new shoes

Dont trust anything that bleeds, but doesn't die

If you commit to a picnic with the missus on a Sunday it WILL be windy... even if the forecast predicted otherwise

Windsurfers WILL get stressed out and post multiple threads on Seabreeze whinging if you wear boardies over your wetsuit I only do that now as I know it upsets them because of how fashion conscious they all seem to be?? lol
