....doubt it. With foil technology changing like it is, what is new this season is going to struggle to keep up with new additions alterations for the next. Bits from one season not fitting parts from another, then being told by a shop to just spend another $1.5k on new parts.
As an owner of Axis gear, trying to understand all of the different types of wings and the like on their website is a nightmare. Then they start throwing in new fuselages and rear wings, and colours (black doesn't fit the red stuff)....
Hang on, not just black and red parts but - HPS/BSC/SC/HA with multiple sizes within each.
Is over-complicating these choices going to impact on sales and people entering the market.
Putting me off.
Shops telling you to just open your wallet and shut up? And you're surprised? ![]()
Is there something wrong with your gear that you *need* to replace it?
There's descriptions on the pages...but in short:
Black series fuselage is for the really thin wings -- only the HPS range.
S-series fuse has the spade head mount -- so everything else...
...except for the two (545 & 600) kitefoil wings (K-series have the finger mount).
Fuselages are different lengths, but fit both mast sizes with the right Doodad. Carbon mast doesn't need a Doodad.
Rear wings ... read the descriptions.
Easy :D
Wings have been getting higher AR for increased performance, so the "low aspect" wings like my 820 don't exist anymore -- the BSC wings would replace that old range, I guess.
But if shops are expecting you to part with $1.5k or more, they better be expecting to hand over a bunch of gear to demo -- it's all very subjective.
