Looking like my boat trailer is about to cark it so...

Does anyone know of any place in Perth that makes fibreglass trailers? The reason is that fibreglass will tolerate being dunked in the water much better than aluminium.
Alternatively, does anyone make trailers / know of a good place in perth for boat trailers?

Cheers
Rob

Okay yeah i thought as much. I think your really more looking for someone to build from ground up so i would suggest Roadmaster in bayswater..

Unless it can fit onto a standard Multi roller trailer, but id be surprised..

never seen a large fibreglass boat trailer in 30 plus years and cant fathom that you could make it rigid enough not to flex and wobble when loaded up.

even ali trailers flex unless theyre really wel built. i could be wrong but the cost of building and engineering a fibre glass trailer capable of safely carrying a 20 foot yacht would be astronomical.

I went through trying to find a good trailer many years ago for a 7.5m power boat and ended up modifying an existing trailer and putting all running gear on that was rust resistant. From stainless disk breaks through to making all my own stainless U bolts and stainless fittings but maintained the galvanished steel frame. But what I did was make the trailer so you can pull it down and have it re galvanished every 5+ years. Our trailer must be flooded to get the boat off so that's why we have a rust problem.
