What an incredible man. I don't want to say legend, as that is used far too easily and often.
David Jones (Bowie) was inspirational, unique, stylish and extremely talented.
Fortunately I saw him live in Melbourne during his 2004 tour. Here for anyone that was a fan is his earlier Melbourne show Spider Tour (get it quick before they remove it)...

Haven't heard anything I like from the "Dark Star" album, including the song "Lazarus", but I've always been a fan.
As with all true art, it doesn't appeal to every taste or pander to the masses, but makes people think and generates discussion. I didn't like it at first, but is growing on me.
Listened to all of his albums these last few days, first time in a while and I had forgotten how much I love his work.
A truly unique character and the world will not see his like for a long time, if ever.
To many processed and homogenised 'musicians' being manufactured by production companies who would never risk their profit margins on someone that rare and brilliant. He had, I'm sure, more to share. He ran out of time but we were lucky to have had him amongst us for a while.
