So I got given a robot vacuum by well meaning relatives. Nice sounding name but it's actually a Chinese brand. Turns out the only way it can be made to work is to download the (Chinese co's) app on your phone - it is an 'internet of things' device. That app links back to a server in China. I am a bit worried it is harvesting all my personal details off the phone and selling them to tik tok or KAOS.
What to do?
All safe as long as the red light doesn't come on where the blue light normally is.
