Thought I would throw it out there as this seems ridiculous to me. Why the tax payers are we paying for Councillors sports wear full stop!! No wonder we have a massive debt when these crooks are milking the system.
It really pisses me of working over 80 hours week to give them half in taxes only to have it pissed against the wall on fancy dinners and sports shoes.
Surely there must be a way that we the public can put a stop to this?? vote/ riot, im easy

If yr away from home and u have a registered hole u blow in (not being gender specific here). Then why can't u claim a contractor? I mean u can claim meals and laundry right? But if yr away from work u have to be cellibate. So wrong. Health services union had it right imho...

When there is untold wealth flowing into the State every second of every day, what is a few thousand dollars or even a few million dollars here and there? It is nothing.

We have to vote for people who don't have a problem, actually they think its a good thing, spending other peoples money, taken from taxpayers by force. If you don't at least turn up to vote, thereby giving legitimacy to them, you will get in trouble.

The nation spends $300,000 every minute on welfare

If people want to stop the government wasting hard earnt tax dollars

Tackle the wefare waste

We need people like Keating who wasn't afraid to tell the bums to get a job

That's okay, haven't we just added hundreds of thousands of jobs to the economy? That means the welfare cost will drop almost overnight other than for Jeff Kennet.

The welfare bill is increasing

The economic leaners are increasing faster the economic lifters

This is not to say that Politicians do not need to tighten their belts, but there are bigger and easier saving to be made by culling the leaners, metaphorically speaking.

Start at the top. (The fat, I've heard it called)

The coffers will will fill faster/sooner than starting with welfare slackers/people who are honestly down on the bones of their feet

In one way or another the funds came out of your pocket, lifted involuntarily.
