Hi guys kicking myself. I have a 6 x 6 shed and the heat is not the issue but condensation on the underside of the roof. I want to eventually insulate and gyprock the room.
Question - how does one get rid of the condensation (post-build)?
Thanks

Vent on bottom , whirligig on top.

Ooh' is that why they put the blue/silver insulation paper over the battens before screwing the roofing iron on. Another learning experience :)

Believe it or not, taking your roof off then insulating it and then reattaching the roofing iron is not a big job. 6x6 shed is not big. just use larger gauge screws for the reattachment. You can also do it in sections so things don't get out of hand. It also so helps to mark the sheets before removal to make sure each goes back to its original position.

Crusoe is right in that it is not as bad as you may think to remove the roof and insulate it now, there was a thread a few years ago that covered this exact topic and I can't remember the best idea that came out of it but I was in total agreement at the time. That's coming from a bloke that had a business building 500 garages a year for 20 odd years.

I don't know what climate your in but if it were me i would just make sure that you insulate well between the gyprock and the existing tin, this will stop the condensation. Even the gyprock on it's own would probably do the job, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Did that, did not work on my shed as I needed too much air flow and to all corners of the shed to remove the dew point from under the sheeting. Went and insulated under the roof which solved it.
