I suppose it started a few years ago and it's getting so annoying. When you click on a link and it starts to load the page first you see the headlines and the beginning of the text then as you start reading and scroll down suddenly as some ad or video starts to load the screen starts jumping up and down completely losing the spot where you were reading then you have to scroll up and down to try to find the spot where you were reading.
It's getting extremely annoying between this and all the pop up ads and other crap the websites have added to their pages in some cases the actual text is less than 1/4 of the page! Then as if it can't get any worse they have added some little blocks on the SIDE of the page now that have little symbols for facebook, email whatever I don't know but it blocks the text AND YOU CAN'T GET RID OF IT! All this nonsense forces you to move the mouse around the page which causes it to momentarily hover over something by accident which opens something else blocking the text. The latest thing seems to be pop up ads that seem to purposely stutter stop and start as they play forcing them to play for 45 seconds instead of the the 10 or 15 you are supposed to be subject to them or pop ups that you can't click out of until you reduce the screen size to see the place where you can click out of them, try to tell me this isn't all by design. Seriously want to opt out of the internet.
firefox navigator and install "pop up blocker" add on
and yes porn sites tend to do that (so I've been told !!
)
Computer screen jumping up and down. Could try putting the laptop on the table when you're doing that, might help.
try the two fisted fury by pushing the chair out so you're not underneath the desk and the monitor should stop shaking

Or in Chrome, I run adblock plus & flashblock & Disconnect. No pop ups, almost no ads, no "social media widgets" (which track you).
