Hello,
I currently renting in Sydney and looking at houses around the central coast, I've noticed that houses around Chittaway bay, Berkeley vale and killarney vale are roughly 50k-80K cheaper then other places on the central coast and I am wondering why this is?
I'll be commuting to Sydney probably once a week, so keen to be close to a train station and I'm into watersports, so being walking distance to the lake / beach is also a selling point.
The main point of concern I can see in these areas, if too close to the lake is flooding, which I'm in too minds about as the lifestyle of living next to a lake would be amazing, versus some flooding once in a while.
I'm interested to hear from locals, what they think is "wrong" with these areas. If its just because they are known as being abit more "bogan" then other areas that's not a major worry for me, as with time and increase in house prices that will always reduce.
Cheers guys
Yep very bogan.......More so is toukley etc.
Anywhere on the east side of the main road that heads north from terrigal you can basically add 200k to the prices because its beach side.
Good sailing there when it blows but theres some idiots about....
Adoy, my goon and VB drinking days are over looking for a nice place to raise a family and enjoy the beaches and sailing/kiting on the lakes.
Around Tuggerah lake, does it flood often?
