Bancroft.....1 year suspension
Steve Smith.....life ban suspended to 2 years for admitting his offence.
Warner......1 year.
Lehmann .....fired.
I.blame warner. He has a total glass jaw/ glass house situation and yet he is the games biggest sledger. Of course people are going to come back at him with the ol Sonny Bill. And that in turn has stirred it up into a real spiteful match. Then the Steve Smith contact, throw in that they're losing. Its easy to take shxt Theywhrn ur winning. They get desperate.
Warner should stop sledging for his.wife and kids sake. If he wasn't such a knob people wouldn't bring up the Sonny Bill. Instead it gets rolled out all the time. His poor wife and kids.
Whatever happened to the gentleman's game?
And Smith has damaged his rep and post career earnings massively. It will cost him millions.
Was Warner angry because SBW tampered with his wifes balls?
Terrible cricket there by the way, I look forward to displaying some offensive banners next time they come to NZ.
Sorry for you guys, what a s h i t bunch of ****s eh

Nah get them to be members of the labor or liberal party would fit in well with the rest of the liars and cheats.
Seriously though I have lost a bit of love for cricket today tampering does go on with other teams but thought while we can be sore winners/losers we were at least good enough sports to not cheat. They deserve what they get I mean if they were Indians the ICC would be whipping them with a feather.
Bring in Tim paine for captain of australian cricket. Clark or marsh would be good replacements too.
There is no excuse for what the Australians did.
But the Captain for S. Africa, Faf du Plessis has been found guilty twice for ball tampering.
While we should see it stamped out of the game, To give any Australian a much harsher penalty will be hard to stand up in appeals/courts.
The ICC needs to up the penalties for future incidents.

But Australia holds cricket right up there. What were they thinking?? I know it's just a game but for those involved it's a career! Masters of aerodynamics maybe, but not much else.

Fire the lot of them - for life. Cut their entitlements. They need to be made an example of.
righto sheldon
On the 22 November 2016
"South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis has been found guilty of ball tampering by the International Cricket Council for using mints to alter the condition of the ball, but has been cleared to play in the Adelaide day-night Test." (his second offence)
While Australia can and should impose a greater penalty than the ICC may give. To say rip up multi million dollar contracts would definitely end up in court.
It's just not cricket
They were sorry they got caught
They have very little integrity
Thats what holds them to their million dollar contrats
They need to be made examples of
Lest the game forever becomes the joke to the fans that it actually already is to the rest of us who couldn't give a sheet about cricket.

I dunno..... I haven't checked it up, but if the harsher penalties were well argued and there was good evidence of the chain of thought that led to the higher penalties, surely they could well stand up on appeal? Much of the problem in this sort of matter comes when those responsible don't clearly set out their reasoning and evidence, which leaves them liable to be alleged of bias or of a breach of procedural fairness. The national-hero status of the Australian cricket team is probably relevant; they are expected to uphold high standards since it's our only real national game.
It's a stupid move that has done enormous damage to the sport, surely, and all to save one test. I've never had sympathy for cheats so I may be biased. The cheats in well paid pro sports seem the worst in some ways - after all, even if they lost they still have big contracts and fat wallets to fall back on.
Think of Smith.. all the social engagements and functions he has to go to (if ever a captain again) people will be thinking and talking about it. It will define him. It's his legacy. Probably still better than Clarke's though. Another dxckhead. Bring back Steve waugh
HA!
You can take a convict out of his country, but you can't stop him tampering with his balls. ![]()
I'll get me coat.
Catherine mcgregor said she abhorred ball tampering and that she'd bet her left nut lehman knew about it
Out with boof.
Bring in Langer and start the rebuild from the top.
Forget Clarke. Smith was his love child.

Yep. Mr "get ready for a broken ****in arm" is not the person we need.

So it should as well. I can understand this **** happening in India or South Africa but not here and not by our captain who is most certainly one of the greatest cricketers that will ever play the game.
He might as well just retire from Australian cricket now!
Lose the captaincy bit of a holiday and rest of his career at silly mid on?
The blokes a gun cricketer have had worse in the baggy green I do think heads might roll some suspicious footage of boof even if he wasn't part of the plan might be the sacrificial offering CA give the public.
Why didn't he just get sent off the field? That's what happens if you cheat seriously in any other team game.
