I need a bike rack for 2 e bikes on a tow ball mount .
We have a steep driveway so need good ground clearance. Also I would like easy to use and space between the bikes to prevent rubbing damage.
Recommendations please.

If you can afford it, Thule EasyFold XT. If towbar is a receiver hitch type make sure ball is mounted on tongue in the upward position not downward position for clearance. The picture below is when ball is in downward position. You want to have this the other way around. I used to manage a roof rack shop so have a lot experience with bike racks.
I bought one of those cheap units off Ebay about 5 years ago & it's still going strong on the Jimbox . Ikuram? brand cheapocharlie / knockoff name , hitch or towball option available .
Sways a bit but the bikes don't move & it folds down to let you access your tailgate easy enough .Purchase the 3 bike option so there's sufficient spacing if you're worried about pedal scratches .
if you are really precious about your bikes, I suggest to look at something like Yakima HoldUp.
it keeps two bikes separate and grabs them by the tire - no contact with the frame if that is your concern. I'm not sure about ground clearance and if it will hold two ebikes but I'm sure that info is available somewhere
I've always found a front basket more useful than a rack.
You can even get them printed with your name. I have one like this but with Carantoc on the front..

I run Yakima. have four different racks and n + 1 bikes - dualies, road, cyclocross, vintage, even an e bike for commuting.

That said, I think DavidJohn is on to it for two e bikes. E bikes are heavy!! Clearance could be the only issue - particularly if you're not driving an SUV/4x4.

Vertical bike racks are awesome, but quite expensive though. Highly recommend those. If you google it, you'll find some local manufacturers and sellers.I've built one from scratch for a fraction of the cost, and had four bikes on it without problem on longtrips. It was strong and sturdy. And since it has four slots, you can space your two bikes out.

I and many of my mates have had the ISI for a number of years. Solid units, no problems with e-bikes. Hilly had the 4 bike one, pretty sure we have had 4 e bikes on it at times. A few of them have fitted to their caravans as well.

The ISI seems to be the only rack that will allow good clearance for my steep driveway.
I think the nice youg lady's rack would not clear my driveway even if I helped.
