My first thoughts on Axl fronting AC/DC were sceptical at best.
But viewing a few utube clips, I now feel he is probably one of the best men for the job, I mean who else is gonna risk their vocal chords at that level at that age ? (Perhaps Bruce Dickinson but he's kinda tied up with his own gig ).
The mumbling Scotsman has sh1t me to tears ever since Bon Scott died. But the Band has powered on big time even with his barely coherent vocal skills and lack of stage persona.
Your thoughts ?
So you don't rate Back in Black Veebs?
How about Fly on the Wall?
I don't much care for anything they did post '85 but Back in Black in particular would rate as one of the seminal albums of my youth. ****en classic.
Acdc has been nothing more than a tribute band ever since Bon Scott died
There are dozens of acdc cover bands who play at your local for free
This is what marked AC/DC as dead to me.
Awful paint by numbers song written directly for an american sports promo. They all look and move like the nursing home AC/DC tribute band took too many valium. Even the nuns kicking the ball round have way more life in them.
Should have given it up before this sad, sad point.
My first thoughts on Axl fronting AC/DC............
^ i agree, and seems a lot more effortless for axl rather than watching brian about too bust a boiler and poop a brick wrapped in barbed wire. was very surprised how authentic it sounded
My thoughts exactly, apart from the early albums (they being studio albums) that smicko pointed out, he's just been droning on.
Although they still put on a great show, but the last two times I've seen them I've just wanted to get on stage, smash him, take over and put some effort into it.
I agree with all the replies above hence why I feel Axl is the man for the job, as brief as it may be (the boys ain't getting any younger).
KBD I'm not even going to click on that clip. I may never listen to another AC/DC tune again if I do.

what and Kiss, Rolling Stones etc look young and vibrant...?
All their stuff sounds the same so if you called ACDC dead you'd have to call it 20yrs ago.
there is full Paris concert with Bon Scott on youtube that I watch sometimes on a flatscreen. its gold.
that's enough of acadaca for me
imho there's a bit more variety in kiss' and the stones' music, kiss more-so. i can't listen to much more than a couple of tracks of ac/dc at a time
^ I dunno, I can still listen to a full album of early works of the boys if I'm on a long drive.
But crankin it up loud with a good system does seem to send the speedo up a bit tho
