Anyone have any experience with campsites around the Avon Valley NP? Is one site better or quiter than the others?

Looking to take my 3y/o camping (bush not beach) for a night or 2 once the fireban is lifted (15th??) and it appears that its the closest place to Perth? It's also got long drop toilets so i dont have to bring my own which is nice.

Are there any other places worth looking at within an hr or 2?

Dwellingup and Lane Poole Reserve.
Plenty of places to camp. Plenty of facilities.

Cheers guys! Contos looks good but at this stage is a bit further than i want to go.

Lane Poole is under 2hrs so thats a pretty easy getaway. Will go the weekend after school holidays, not much fun with a million little ****s running around

conto's is 4 hours from perth , best bet for an hour or two from perth is dwellingup , lake brockman , dyrandra national park ( added bonus is they run nocturnal native wildlife tours)

Collie River - Honeymoon Pool is nice - but will be busy. If you want peace then go when after kids go back to school.
