In July 2021, we had the locally developed technology to INSTANTLY detect a COVID carrier, but development and production of the device was put on hold because of COVID. If this article is true, no wonder this country is headed down the gurgler.

Wow. That is cool tech.

I agree. Too much red tape. Too much box ticking culture. We've become decadent.

But if you don't check the boxes, and then something bad happens, how will we know who to dump the blame on?

Yep, there is only one thing they did not tell you yet.
This sensor must be implanted and ID,s in order to work.
In such case this ingenious device works perfectly. Even without the need for Covid or any other cancer.
We could always improve on device by adding microphone, camera and storage device.
One a month we will be asked to download storage to government database server. Then you receive electronic passport and free to go.

But it could happen that you may need to undergo quarantine or "hospitalisation" if microphone detect something present danger for sociaty and authorities in first place. In fact device don't even need to be microchip size. Could be size of solid backpack once all upgrade functions are introduced.

Macro, what has happened to you? I used to really enjoy reading your posts about your zany, innovative ideas for farm machinery. It used to remind me of the old ABC show 'The Inventors', but lately you seem to have gone outright loco. Don't let the crazies get to you, lest you become one of them.

Where is the evidence that this is a stuff-up, or an example of Australia being hopeless?

There seems to be ZERO evidence that it's workable yet. The Burnet Institute (the medical partner in the project) aren't saying anything about it on their site, nor is Prof Drummer. The company haven't blamed red tape, the TGA or anything like that. They are planning production in 2022.

Sure, it could be fantastic. But there seems to be ZERO evidence that any red tape was involved in dramatically slowing the project, apart perhaps from the lockdowns - and the Burnet Institute supports those lockdowns.

So where's the evidence that there's anything going wrong with the country?

Just for those who need everything spelled out and don't understand context, let's rephrase that to "so where's the evidence IN THE LINK AND POST that anything's going wrong with this country".

Yeh have to agree with chris. At the end they even say they want to keep production and the intellectual property in australia.

Thanks Harrow,
I am working now on innovative irrigation system, made cheaply to water vast farmland areas. Travelling sprinklers... hope to post some photos of prototypes in action soon...

You mean clouds?

That is the problem with clouds. All the rain fall below mountain ridge of Toowoomba. It could be flooding on one side and completely dry on another ( my side) .
But my idea for prototype is cheap, Watering circle 200 meter radius at the costs of some scrap bikes parts.
