Apparently "the whole of Australia is on flood alert"

http://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/australia-to-be-on-flood-watch-this-weekend-with-heavy-rain-forecast/ar-BBsHZ5E?li=AAgfYrC&ocid=mailsignout

Perth forecast is 4-10mm rain on Saturday morning.

Seriously who writes this crap?

Mandora station between Hedland and Broome has had 130 mm in about the last 7 hours. That's quite a bit of rain.

Exactly.
Every time I look at any online news it has poor diction, basic errors in fact that look even worse than the deliberate "talking it up" of the normal media, and all sorts of issues.
God help us if online news is the way of the future.

However in this case, MSN or not, to say all of australia is the east coast is pretty dumb, even for them.

(BTW dunno about what Mandora has had today, they are talking about forthcoming...)

I was camping out Cape K
it started as a dusting drizzle
But went torrential pretty quick
i got outta there and the roads were already bogslop
I recon there's gonna be a few trapped nomads all up that coast

Most of it is just scrapping these days. Especially the dailymail - probably the best example of non-journalism out there. It's a crying shame. But we are all too blame as society on the whole seems reluctant to pay for news online - so this is what we get.
