I love gadgets and I'd still rate a smartwatch as useless. I would take a waterproof gps watch over one any day.

If I was to get one, it would be the huawei watch - it's fairly cool. In an utterly useless way.

i hate digital watches, prefer mechanical watches myself,i just like that traditional look.

but sadly why wear a digital watch if you own a smart phone, its pointless really.

only time i wear a watch these days is surfing,,,,,when i remember to put it on.

this bloke found 7 lame reasons for wearing a watch

I have a few friends with them.. I love Apple stuff and gadgetry.. But IMO it's a bit small.. Maybe one day they'll release a man size version.

For those doubters out there...

The Apple Watches may be gimmicky, expensive, and as trendy as a polished turd...Just imagine this...How would you know when and if your heart stops beating, if you don't have one !

I got a little Garmin band. Does caller id, text messages, message alert (emails ect), plus all the health stuff. Cost $100. Why would you pay $1000 for an apple watch??

But does it let you know what the time is? That's my idea if an ideal watch - a device you can wear on your wrist that shows the current time.

Precisely !

It is a bit like making a complaint about your own funeral service. It is a moot point
