Here it is:
www.apple.com/watch/

Personally I think it looks a lot better than I thought it would. 3 models and a myriad of bands and faces and colours. You'd probably never see two the same.

It looks very slick in the videos, yet arguably totally useless.
I also have absolutely no idea what I'd need one for.

Apple Pay does look intriguing though. www.apple.com/apple-pay/

Let the bitching and moaning begin...

Whilst it is very neat looking and probably has some good uses (no idea why anyone would want to send a mate a heartbeat...), for some reason I just prefer a real watch with moving bits etc.

Can see it being distracting in the work place as well.

I guess they had to with all the other WiFi watches to control the iPhone.

Of course the Apple one will be way better, but cease to work after 6mths when new model comes out........ or need 20gb updates every week due to a font change to some Cantonese app

Looks like Apple is targeting the jewellery market. Given their track record with the music distribution and mobile phone markets, I wouldn't like to be a watchmaker right now...

I'm going to get the edible version, and I hear you can get a whole bag of them for cheap!

I initially thought, "Meh. Who needs a smart watch?" I just looked at the web site and my imagination was sparked.

Imagine parents putting them on their kids so they can track them.
Put one on Granny and monitor her heart rate or when she wanders off. Send an alert when she has a heart attack.
Use them in hospitals for keeping track of patients and medical records.
Expand the medical monitors and do real time tracking of blood sugar in diabetics.

Well, to be fair all the other WiFi watches were designed and built on the mere rumour that Apple was going to build a watch. They were all carts and this is the horse.

And apple products generally have a life cycle of two years. The iPhones may have an 's' model come out in the interim is about it.
That said is two years long enough for a watch? (is it a watch?)

You can turn automatic updates off for your apps with Cantonese fonts.

I still think it's useless but I said that about the iPhone and the iPad.
