However the example given is a load of BS. The portable debfib machines are not 'heart starters' - they will stop fibrillation (irregular rythym) which occurs in a many of cases. They are a useful diagnostic tool for a first reponder. They have increased survival rates since being places in public areas. but in many heart attacks the heart is completely stopped and the portable defibrillator only tells you the person is dead. It would be very very rare case that actually pans out like it did in the video. He would still need EAR perhaps, adrenline, maybe other drugs and expert care and still has only a 10-15% chance there, or maybe up to 30% chance in hospital.
The drone is not a magic heart starter but watching that vid you'd think it is so I bet they get all the money they want from investors.

Quite often after fibrillation is stopped the heart will spontaneously begin beating again.

In which case you continue with CPR.

The loss of consciousness is due to the decrease in BP. When the heart begins beating again most patients will regain consciousness.
There would be no intention for this to replace medical care.

Great design concept and he probably got great marks for the project but it's a warm and fuzzy idea that will be difficult to implement. Their example had a 30 second travel time, the drones would need be based every 500 metres to get that. Where do they house them? unless the collapse is on a footpath outside, where do they land the drone and give adequate directions to the bystander as to where it is? The video was more interested in despatching the drone rather than advising her on the DR ABC basics. It's an immediate conflict, have her commence the basics of DR ABC, or DRS ABC as it is now, or have her leave her dad and run outside? In the video CPR is commenced by a bystander after she runs off.
There's also an issue with the emergency service getting your location via your phone, do you need to turn location services on first? sure the technology is probably there, or almost there for emergency services to crack your location and take it out of your phone immediately, but the civil libertarians will go nuts if the legislation is changed to allow calls to 000/112 to be immediately location monitored. And a lot of ambulance calls are over-exaggerated or false, these little drones would get damaged or stolen in a heart beat, though the would probably put geo fences on them to stop them flying into Rockingham 
.
Maybe the idea has merit for small scale use on vast mine sites and the like but in populated areas there are many bigger issues to resolve beyond simply attaching a defib machine to a drone.

All I am saying is the advetisement would not match reality in 99% of cases. Many will make the assumption this is a magic solution
People will ooh ad ahh over the emotive video , and these fellas will get bucketloads of grant money, then IF it comes to fruition it will be like Chris said - very limited in application

Damn, it's gotten longer again? And they're gonna wonder why people can't remember it in an emergency.
I think there will be a lot of lacerations due to people getting tangled up with one or more of the props.
They cut like a power knife. 
Something which works around people really needs to have guard rings around the props.
At least then people have to try quite hard to get hurt.
delivering pizza or replacing cycle couriers.......or put guns on board and shoot people or deliver bombs... the next terrorist threat! shoot them out of the sky if you see one
