For all you AFL lovers out there including myself. Who do we think is going to win the AFL premiership for 2016
For me being not a hawks supporter I hope they don't do 4 in a row! But as we all know in footy anything can happen
By the way I think my team the pies are already gone
For my self I reckon the swans or crows for the 2016 premiership!

Hawks won't make the 8.......Yeah, yeah I know, but too many old players who will lose the hunger if they lose 2 in a row.

I reckon the granny will be between the Eagles and doggies. Doggies will win. In the mean time Buckley will be gone within weeks as will Hardwick.

Lance Franklin for the brownlow followed by Priddis, Nathan Jones and Lachie Hunter.

There, that'l do it!

Even as an Eagles supporter, I get embarrested knowing they are another team from WA who just don't bloody get it
They are shot to bits, mainly due to the current recruitment team being a bunch of drongo's. Good centre line, good small forwards, but then it all falls in a hole after that. Gornski

I recon the Dogs and Hawks will play off for the flag. No way the Eagles are going to get there, we are only up to round 5 and they have only beaten bottom side teams and got thrashed by the Hawks (again).

Do you say that due to the loss of Bob murphy

Bobs a great leader of the Dogs, personally Id like to see the Bulldogs make the GF.

As we know last year finishing 6th, they will have a more challenging draw compared to 2015. Same reason my beloved WCE's will struggle to get a top 2 finish.

Easier to get into the top 8, having been out of the 8, than stay in.

I won't count them out just yet. Just look who they have Nat Fyfe

$20 @ 9/1 = $180, plus your initial outlay of $20 is $200.

$20@18/1= $360, plus your initial outlay of $20 is $380.

That tackle on Hawthorns Isaac smith with about 15 seconds to go last night should have been holding the ball. Therefore the crows would of had a shot at goal and should of won the game! I sure do agree with King of the point on this one

Ball should of been recalled at the last centre bounce ( incorrect bounce ) , therefore wasting the last 18 sec and it would never of made it down to the crows forward line .

Totally agree with the captain and King on this. Amazing how those umps can put the whistle away in the last few seconds. If it happened at any other time during the game it would have been holding the ball. Good old Victorian umpire syndrome.

^^^ Freo have gone from it being this year that they will win to next year, I think the crystal ball got bigger so the future was further away?

If it's always going to be next year it could be a while, isn't Ross the brides maid of coaches?

There will be no redemption for Freo next year, the year after, or the year after. Same as Port Adelaide.
The AFL will want to snuggle up with two of the big clubs in Melbourne first, The Pies and Richmond. Eddie Everywhere will make sure it happens, be assured.
The Freo side is just a balance act for the sale of the AFL's TV coverage to its sponsors.
They were sucked in way to early to prop up the AFL's coffers way back.
The introduction of the two new sides on the East Coast, and money spent via AFL have rendered the lesser clubs to the wilderness with over inflated draft picks for the two new sides.
Supporters can complain and bitch all they want, but ask yourselves, is the AFL in it for the money, or to appease sides that mean less income.

Have not watched a AFL or any Aussie rules match in years - and I love watching sport.

Too many players make it a brawl more than anything.

15 a side would make it much more open. 18 a side is a clutter!

I enjoy watching rugby 7's at the WC but hate rugby generally.

FA Cup final - looking forward to that!

It's wide open this year... I think Dogs can go Top 4 or 5...
I think your 5, plus Dogs will be Top 6... 7 & 8 will be making up the numbers...

I thing Dogs will play a full season, and I more worried about North going on with it actually... Jarrod Waite up forward... He's crap usually!... Up and Down...

Anyway, like most years, the winner will be the team with the best form in September, and least injuries...

It's been quite an eventful seasons already... Pies doing bad, but coming into form today... Freeo much worse than expected... Demons doing OK... Port not doing well...
Tigers not going as well as expected... Cats were expected to do well, but actually have done well, and are raising eyebrows... Hawks scraping by...

I think the blues getting the win on the weekend sums up freos start to the season.
What shocked me though was how messy the game was. Both teams found it hard to play basic 101 footy. It sure was not a pretty game to watch!
