Its my last year in my 30s today and thinking of ideas for my birthday next year
Im looking to go to warm water Surf with a side of
Kiting
Fishing
Diving
with the Mrs for 2 weeks
Possible 2 kids for one of the weeks
Thinking:
Fiji
Ive thought of Namotu but US$5k+ for 5 days is a bit steep
Is there a resort in Fiji that has good breaks near by
Tahiti (Moreea Island)
New Caledonia
Hawaii: Not sure where to go as there are a million Islands
Indo???
We just did 3 weeks in Hawaii (Oahu & the Big Island of Hawaii) and loved it. We have rebooked Oahu / Maui for June 2019...
Do what I did... Go to Maui for a week without the family!
That would be nice, but the only way Id be going to Hawaii on my own was either through midlife crisis or divorce
I've enjoyed several trips to the Maldives. Plenty of options for family activities..
Can be expensive, but life begins at 40..

On your 40th first try AUS1111's suggestion :
Asian+Blonde
then afterwards you might get the added bonus of the second.
Cook Islands??
chilled out place...aitutaki is an amazing place to windsurf/kite..
good diving as well
Western australia
ending in Exmouth swimming with whale sharks ,your kids will have it etched forever, the naval pier dive is in the top 10 world sites
Also cocos islands is a great back to basics family break, done both and plenty more,
Dirk Harrogate island would also be a great addition on your trip up the west Australian coast, we've pristine fishing , diving, kiting, here,

Aitutaki is amazing but there is not one windsurfer to hire , ive tried . There is a good kite scene though. Water is that blue it looks fake .![]()
I'm with Cauncy plenty of places in WA to celebrate and we need the money in the local economies.
But yeah whatever you choose do it with the family and or a small group of good friends.
