I am considering obtaining the 28 degrees credit card for travel.
Is anyone aware of any issues or cautions?

You should also check out the Citibank offering. At the time I got mine, it was a better deal than the 28 degree card. It depends on what promotions are on at the time with the various banks.

Travelled for a few months with this card earlier this year.
We had no problem, I recommend it. Of course some countries don't like international credit cards...
Strongly suggest to setup the monthly auto payment so you don't have to worry about it during your travels.

When i first got mine, it was great (it a was a Wizard Mastercard back then). No annual fee, no international conversion charge and as i recall no cash out fee. The cash out surcharge had been added since, i think the other features still ok(?). Used it on 2 Europe trips, no drama.

28 degrees is is a good card also worth considering is the bankwest platinum

I have both, use one for purchases and the other I transfer additional funds on to it to withdraw cash while travelling.

Very good for overseas purchases - no fee's and excellent exchange rate. Not great for cash overseas like it was before.Best to let them know where you are going as they may block any overseas charges out of the blue.( happened to me on 2 occasions )

Citibank Visa Debit card excellent for cash from ATM's overseas but no charge back protection on purchases like the 28 degree Credit card.

Excellent point, and always have an alternative in case one gets blocked.
