Looking for a day out with a difference?Want an experience on the water that only happens once a year?Want to be part of history?Well - have we we got an opportunity for you.We are seeking two boats to escort two solo swimmers to Rottnest island for the Rottnest Channel Swim We are a father and son with strong open water experience not only having swam The event before but also having recently swam the English Channel.we have done other long distance swims. Our training is solid with Shelley Taylor Smith doing 35 plus a week. Our target times ( weather permitting ) are 5.5 hours for the young lad and 6.5 hours for the old man( 55 years old)What's in it for me you ask - great question. You get to go out in your boat for the day- that's why you bought it right! We will pay you for the experience. Paid to do something you love - great deal. You get to be part of a massive migration to the island we love- if you haven't seen it before it is something to be seen. It's like if there is free food and drink for anyone that can make it.You get to see elite athletes like us with a strange desire to swim 20 k. Not everyday you see that. You get to see people violently ill both in and out of the water. I mean extremely sea sick. You get to see the channel like you have never seen it before - slowly and full of people so you can savor the day.You could fish but most likely you will only hook a distressed swimmer. You will get exited like never before when would get 1.8 km from the island and you can go home and get rid of that pesky swimmer. You will have a great opportunity for unique pictures. You can catch up on that tan you want before winter sets inYou will meet two great guys. Most importantly you will be part of making our effort and dream come together. To find out more about this rare opportunity I can be contacted on - 0401882537

Thanks for the reply . Maybe we can swim the gulf one day - the wildlife may be a bit over friendly

Hey Guys & Gals

This is a legitimate request from an actual person. I know... the usual 1 post etc

I met "two great guys" tonight and offered myself & boat to escort Martin or Sam for the swim.

or, because They still need 1 more boat!

Sam solo'd the Rotto channel last year at just 16. www.perthnow.com.au/features/perth-teen-sam-smoothy-set-to-tackle-karma-resorts-rottnest-channel-swim-after-beating-cancer-ng-827379c614aa2ce6830f2ee2e56a7aad His Dad did as well

Martin & Sam swam the English Channel last year au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/wa/a/29114096/martin-and-sam-smoothy-complete-english-channel-swim/
(Me, I always took the Chunnel. Drier, Faster, and could fit loadsa cheap booze in the car from Calais. )

So if your boat (or you) is free on the 27th February - help them out, and hook them up with an escort for the swim!

Its only 3 weeks away!!
