Instead of buying our kids presents we sponsored a kid from the money(world vision), we got a strange look when they opened the card from the little bloke, but makes your kids appreciate things more , especially when they were sent a picture and a heartfelt letter from him thanking them,
its a good idea and i had considered..
Cant go past a garden gnome, Hours of fun !
+ one of these, then the gnome is even more fun!
^^^ yes controlled weapon. All that means is u need a reasonable excuse to have it. EG: All martial arts things are controlled weapons too - on the way to martial arts practice with nunchucks, no problem. Nunchucks in pocket at nightclub, no good.
Same with a compound bow. If u are a member of a club (and on way to an from) or shoot it at a farm, or it is just in your house because you use it sometimes, that is fine. Having it for no reason is not fine.
They are, however, not banned. Not by a long shot.
No archery members leave their stuff at the range cos they have to.
The exceptions list is for those who can have it under ANY circumstances.
Prohibited weapon is not allowed at all. Controlled weapon we pretty much all have one in our house or easy access to one, when we think about spear guns and laser pointers
I'm quite interested in one, so long as you include the receipt so I can send it back if it can't mow the lawns or wash the dishes...
Ok I've given it some more thought & research . I asked my boys and explained how I got red thumbs . They said is he gay he wouldn't like a bow . I explained that in baby chino cotton wool land thats its not the kid but the parents that object so what else & they did come up with the suggestion of magic tricks .
They have boxes of magic tricks .The consiteno i think thats his name has 80 magic tricks . But if they do master the art don't play cards with them .
If i had a dollar for every time I've heard pick a card well i could buy a new sail at least .
WOW!!!!
Yeah, get your boy the compound bow,
Then in forty yrs he can come on a fun thread and turn it into ones right to be armed![]()
Growing up, the kid next door had a bb gun, when he was teenager, him and his friend decided to shoot people at a near by park
They eventually shot a random woman in the eye, they were arrested, charged, and were sent off to remand
The lady they shot, that lost her eye, used to come to Ballina High school and give talks about the dangers of weapons
The kid who shot the lady was a normal enough teenager, but after 9mths remand, he came back as a someone who know longer cared about doing well for himself......
He was a really good golfer before the incident, but when he came back he was interested in golf, looking back, he was suffering from depression as he tried to understand what he had done, it probably took him yrs to work through it mentally, assuming he ever did
I wonder if that bb gun was a nerf toy if it would still have ended up having such a negative impact on that kids life
There was zero reason for this kid to have any need or access to any weapon, he was simply the product of being raised by someone who thought weapons were important enough to expose his kids to the risks and consequences of life with weapons......not to mention what the beautiful woman who had her eye shot out
People have no right to advocate weapons as presents or suggested they are just like toys
Big jump from shooting Nerfs at people to know having a cross bow......sure it will go well
He would never play it with it to impress friends, things could never go wrong, its not like his being influenced with fantasy violence all his life..............
Plus his future is looking great with weapons, he can come on sites that have zero to do with weapons and continue to promote there use
www.apexhunting.com.au/ I got a shooting range at my house and would recommend these **** for equiptment if your getting into archery don't use the cheap chineese arrows on ebay the fall apart when you pull them out of the target ! www.apexhunting.com.au/p/55lbs-rts-apex-blizzard-compound-bow-kit-right-han/BOW-BLIZZARD-RTS
look at a 55lb don't think young one will have the draw to pull the cams over but you can set them low. Its a really good pastime. The recommendation for the compound bow is good. And yourself and your son can bond Its a very technical sport at 55lb is good he can grow into it and you can turn it up for yourself.
WOW!!!!
Yeah, get your boy the compound bow,
Then blah blah

Nobody said crossbow
nobody said weapon
nobody said unsupervised.
long bow to draw
buddy
anyway back on topic, yes the magic kit
my 10 y/o loves it
An afternoon(with you) at the local indoor rock climbing gym...., builds confidence, balance etc etc etc
so a compound bow doesnt fall under. .....
a controlled WEAPON
My bad, its a controlled toy!!!!!
do ever consider the impact having weapons on you, in your house, at your disposal as had on you.....
you are to weapons what bono is to 911
they appear to be something that is constantly on your mind
even when discussing gifts for a 10yr old, its weapons
you should try and get rid of your weapons, so you can be free of the massive influence they have had on you
Guys, take it to heavy weather, you both have some good points but this isnt the place. Someone just wanted a few suggestions for a loved childs birthday.
oh no, the abuse that is simply opposition to stupidity
why do you turn every second thread into a weapons promotion
said it before, those that feel the need to be armed in Australia are the exact sorta people that shouldnt be armed[:X![]()
The amazing innovation is a water propelled, personal water craft accessory that allows
the operator to safely experience flight. No matter the weight, height or age;
the rider is flying comfortably after only 10 minutes. It's basically a flying Jet Ski
with a ride that can be mild or a little more exciting.
Cost Dh25,620
Bit expensive
....but I want one![]()
that is not for kids!!!!!!! I want one! but.............. OK I am a big kid!![]()

theses things are pretty rubbish. like those jet boots. you need a jets ski and you bolt a big hoze from the output of the jetski, and drag around the hose. one day someone will jet themselves hard into the followng jetski. (hose hidden by water spray) not a patch on a proper watersport that requires skill
How is somebody turning every second thread into weapons promotion ?
Who said crossbow ?
Who's the irresponsible idiot out shooting people with bb guns ?
Thats right its craze
So craze when i go to the archery club or i take my kids to karate I'm promoting violence like all the other parents there am I?
So whats your suggest for a ten year old boy?
Nice dress?
Teletubbies box set?
Thomas the tank toys ?
Large box full of cotton wool ?
Maybe a barbie doll ?
I don't believe you even posted a suggestion .
Your just attacking people who have .
So why arnt those posts deleted ?
Lets see if this gets deleted.
Cant really understand why the last one did.
I actually called the local Police Station quite a few years ago now, and, ironically, spoke to an asian woman, that refused to pass my call on to a superior officer.
Why is that ironic?
i think a compound bow is a perfectly legit and suitable gift, so long as the kiddie is adequatley supervised. I think it was a good suggestion.shooting at an archery range or even bowhuntinmg is a perfeclty legit and wholesome activity if done right imho. those that jump down someones throat merely for suggesting it maybe should look at themselves. I take my kiddie spearfishing.

it got deleted because your too angry
ive never shot anybody?????
my suggestion was easy
the kid likes pokemon and nerf toys
thats what i would get him.......and i bet ya, thats what he gets
you promote disrespectful behaviour towards others
your kids will follow suit
im super surprised weapon training is not part of young aussies school program
its the only way to teach responsibility. .......
look at actionmax, ha, it looks like his time with weapons has been an enlightening part of your life
Craze do you even have kids?
Who said its the only way to teach responsibility?
My kids make stuff in shed they have to learn how to use tools responsibly as well its just another lesson.
Who remembers what they got when they were 10 ?
I do got a transistor radio lasted for 10 years
Nobody when its landfill 6 months later .
So i made a suggestion that should last .
The kids already got pokimon & nerfs & at 10 they grow out of that so fast its not funny. By 11 he wont even play with them if they last that long . I'll bet the pokimon & nerfs are already on the decline .

Man, can you see me from all the way up there.......im all the way down here........here I am
How come when people say the flying jetski is a stupid idea, their not met with the same over the top defensive crap that one receives when suggesting weapons is a stupid idea?????????????????????????????????????????????????
So a compound bow is a gift for life??????
A lasting idea..................
Its reshonkulous, as stated, people who live with weapons end up getting real weird about what they represent in ones life
In the worlds easiest, most peaceful country, one would think time could be better spent then firing arrows at hay bales, then eventually animals, maybe humans
In my opinion, there are a billion better gift ideas for a 10yr then a weapon
And if the kid gets the weapon, hurts himself, someone else,
turns out things get black for him during his adolescences, still a good idea that his got a compound bow
When is it a bad idea??
I have 9 children, all unarmed ![]()
![]()
![]()
![]()
............9 different moms![]()
![]()
![]()
......I should be fricken armed.......with a condom.........or less charm and sex appeal
^^^ If you got nine kids to nine difference mums .
Well the maintenance must be killing you .
I feel sorry for your kids as odviously you have never been a real father to any of them.
So your understanding of raising kids & teaching them is non existent . .
Get a life troll
The 9 different mums are in all the different places he served with the SEALs
Or maybe the at the studs where he broke in over 50 horses.
I was going to say next you will tell us you would tell us navy seal but have now turned pacifist ![]()
But I did bite my tongue.
If my memory serves me correctly he's also a 6ft 8" boxing & karate champion & a ninja who can snatch arrows out of the air but has given that all away just to a repeatedly banned troll on Seabreeze.
