Following on from the success of the highly acclaimed windsurfing movie, 'Four Dimensions' Andre Paskowski (Fanatic, North) and his team recently revealed plans of the sequel, 'Second Life'.
Paskowski commented:
"I'm very proud to announce that a couple of weeks ago we began to work on our new windsurfing movie. We want to use the momentum of Four Dimensions, but go even further this time round with new filming techniques, different angles, innovative ideas, more riders, and spectacular locations. The name for the movie will be 'Second Life'. Why you may ask? Well, there are a couple of reasons, which will all become more apparent as the film develops."
Some of the PWA's hottest riders have been rumored to be signing up including four times freestyle word champion, Jose 'Gollito' Estredo (Fanatic, North), former freestyle world champion, Marcilio Browne (Fanatic, North, MFC), current wave tour leader, Victor Fernandez (Fanatic, North, MFC), three times former wave world champion, Kauli Seadi (JP, NeilPryde, MFC), former freestyle world champion, Ricardo Campello (JP, NeilPryde, MFC), and 2009 Pozo wave champion, Philip K?ster (Starboard, NeilPryde, Dakine).
To kick-start the movie, Paskowski caught up with the newly crowned 2010 freestyle world champion, Estredo for a few words.
AP: Hi Gollito, how did you feel after receiving your fourth PWA world championship trophy yesterday?
JE: "I'm really happy to have won the title again this year. Winning this one with an event to spare made it perhaps the clearest victory of all four. I'm absolutely stoked with my performance this year. No one has ever won four freestyle world titles, so I'm pleased to be the first to do that too!"
AP: Lets go back in time to the start of the season. Do you think your 3rd place in Austria gave you an extra boost to win every other event?
JE: "Austria was very different. Competing at five o'clock in the morning was actually very tough for me. I wasn't really going for the event win in Austria, and was happy just to make the top 4. I lost very quickly to Steven Van Broeckhoven (F2, Gaastra) but you have to remember, the level is so close at the top. Afterwards, I trained really hard, and saw each contest as a chance to prove to everyone that I was the best."
AP: Where did you train after Austria?
JE: "I went to Egypt for the Fanatic and North photo shoot for a short while. And, we got great wind so I could train a lot. After that I went home, but there wasn't much wind so I actually didn't train that much before I got to the Canaries. I arrived in Lanzarote a few days before the contest, and managed to learn a new move called the 'matador' really quickly. This move helped me to win the lanzarote contest. And, that victory gave me the power for the rest of the season."
