NeilPryde 2009 Australian Wavesailing Titles

With less than three weeks to go until the start of the NeilPryde 2009 Australian Wavesailing Titles, now is the time to make plans to get involved if you haven't already done so.  If the success of the event last year is anything to go by, it will be an epic week of competition with great sailing conditions and heaps of fun on and off the water.

Attached below is a schedule for the event.  The important thing to note is that registration will open from 9-11am on Tuesday 3 February at Green's Beach, Marrawah.  There is no pre-registration for this years event and the entry fee is $55 payable in cash only when you register.  Competitors must be members of the Australian Windsurfing Association or an affiliated state association.  Registration includes an event t-shirt (made from high quality Fair Trade cotton 'cus we care about stuff) and dinner at The Big Spit Roast Night along with all sorts of other goodies.  There will be heaps of live music and don't forget the Table Tennis Classic.

Accommodation at Marrawah or nearby Redpa is becoming difficult but not impossible to find.  If you are having trouble, keep in mind the very affordable camping options at either Redpa Football Club or Green's Beach.
Green's Beach is free to camp but has only a cold shower and outhouse toilets.  For the low price of $20/night you can camp on the lush manicured grounds of the Redpa Football Club including breakfast and use of their hot showers, toilets and table tennis.  They also have a fully stocked bar which will be open in the evenings.  This is a special arrangement for competitors and you must book before Tuesday 27 January.  For bookings please contact Justin Tapson on 0407 903 146.
