What is it?

The NeilPryde and JP-Australia Learn to Windsurf Series is a mobile event, traveling across Australia from the Sunshine Coast to Perth, teaching people to windsurf... for FREE!

With over 40 event days around the country this summer, this is your chance to try the sport.  If you already windsurf, get your friends and family into it while checking out the latest NeilPryde and JP equipment.

Who is running it?

NeilPryde and JP-Australia are the leading windsurfing brands in Australia and around the world.  This project is a major investment in windsurfing in Australia, and aims to create events that are highly social, exciting for all levels and styles of windsurfers, and welcoming to newcomers.

Each event is presented by the area's local windsurfing shop, so you have a local contact to go to for more lessons, great advice and the best equipment.  Check the event listings for specific details including location info, event schedule and other information.

How do I get involved?

Everyone is welcome and you can just show up on the day.  That said, it is a good idea to pre-register your interest with the presenting shop, whether you'd like to try windsurfing for the first time, if you want to demo some 2011 NeilPryde and JP equipment, or, if you are keen to help out.  Volunteers are hugely appreciated to help out with lessons, clinics or just flipping snags on the BBQ.

How does it work?

The two main components of every event are lessons for beginners and equipment demos for experienced windsurfers.  But, there will be plenty of variety between the events, with each presenting shop adding their own flavour.  Some events will also include a BBQ, intermediate and advanced clinics, social racing or speed trials, etc.

Making the series of events possible is a massive custom made trailer decked out with a complete range of 2011 JP boards and NeilPryde sails, including every model in the most popular sizes (details below).  Nine of 19 boards are suitable for absolute beginners and the sails are rigged on X9 and X6 components for light weight, ease of use and the best performance.

Prepare to be blown away.
