We ask one of the PWA's most dialled loopers how he trains for two or more rotations.

Easy huh?

Ricardo: "To be honest, with double loops I didn't do much training, i just got my normal forward controlled, then started throwing them a bit higher. I'd say the most important thing is confidence though, you can't go in scared.

When I'm on the water and looking to throw a double, I spend some time searching for the right ramp, then go for it. I pull the sail as hard as i can and make sure I'm high enough at the beginning. I used to close my eyes but lately I don't!

For the triple loop I did train, but mentally before I hit the water. I didn't want anything to go wrong. Also when I'm going for triples, the ramp has to be exactly right. I spend a long time just waiting for the right time to go for it.

One last thing. I'd suggest anyone wanting to try them to wear a wetsuit or back protector, ?cause sometimes it can hurt a whole lot. I'd also recommend something for your nuts as well!
