Foreshore Beach - Temp Changes to Public Access (NSW)
The Baulderstone Jan De Nul Port Botany Consortium is carrying out the works under contract to Sydney Ports Corporation. The Project is scheduled for completion in early 2011.
During these works there are a number of temporary changes and restrictions to public access and launching of watercraft along Foreshore Beach. The public are reminded that in accordance with NSW Maritime's Marine Notice No. SU0807 any vessel, including passive craft, must not enter the Special Event Area/Construction Zone and must keep well clear of any service craft, equipment and the actual construction area.
Please be advised that the Special Event Area/Construction Zone is located directly adjacent to Foreshore Beach. Vessels include watercraft of any description used, or capable of being used, as a means of transportation on water. The Special Event Area/Construction Zone has been in place since 1 July 2008 and vessels are required to use the designated navigation channel marked with yellow buoys and night lights when accessing Penrhyn Road boat ramp.
