Paddles to PACA – Paddle Against Child Abuse.

PACA  was founded on the Gold Coast by Damien Rider as a way to rebuild kids futures by using the ocean paddle sports to help them find peace.  Combined with Simon Kealley from Event Water Safety and 5x M2O competitor himself, the two of them have just put on their first PACA event, Paddle Fest 2014.  Paddle Fest 2014 combined all the ocean paddle sports in one event to help inspire abused and neglected kids by watching some of the best
compete in their different ocean sports disciplines.  The major event in the festival was the 11 nautical Mile
Open Ocean Paddle which attracted the likes of, Mick Di Betta, Toby Cracknell, Lachie Lansdown and Rhys Burrows with Toby taking out the SUP and Lachie taking out the Prone.

How can you have this piece of history hanging in the pool room?  Well first let me tell you where this money will go to.  With Xmas just around the corner so many kids have been either tossed to the gutter or taken from their homes out of necessity from the damage and trauma they face being there, others are so neglected and strive for love by their parents or guardians until they feel there is no one and no hope and look for any way to numb the pain and worse, try to take their own lives.
Xmas time can be the hardest time of year for them, a time where they feel so alone and worthless, watching other kids get presents and love, something they dream of.  You can help change that by bidding on the Signature colours of Jamie Mitchell, Blue and Black blade, carbon shaft Quickblade Paddle.

100% of the winning bid will go to helping brighten up some children’s Xmas.  Your name with photo will be on the PACA website or you can choose to stay anonymous.   Working with Act For Kids, we can even give you a list of goods you would like your winning cash to go to and we will supply images of the kids receiving them.
