What do Kyron Ratbones and Roast Chicken have in common?

This guy, just so happens to be one of Australia's most talented stand up paddle surfers...
He’s one of Australia’s local heroes in the stand up paddle surfing world, and Kyron Ratbones sure knows how to get a SUP board down the line. Seen here in Indonesia somewhere, Kyron scores some incredible conditions with lefts, rights and of course, bone crushing barrels.

Amongst the exceptional surfing, are some spectacular wipeouts on the reef. Mr Ratbones sure knows how to make an impression, coming off that board every-which-way to Sunday. Spoken best by a man dressed head to toe in a Chicago Bulls basketball outfit, in a surfing flick, Kyron says:

“That wave came through, was probably one of the bigger ones of the morning. I dropped down into it, and everything was going sweet until I hit the spoil boil. Then everything went pear shaped, I went face first, over the handlebars, leash wrapped around my neck, paddle went up my bum the wrong way. It was pretty hectic, but it was just another wipeout. I’ll bounce back!“

On the topic of random occurrences in this stand up paddling video. The title of which Lechon Manok, is actually the name of a local recipe for roasting a chicken over live charcoals. Add garlic, Star Anise, lemon grass, onion, brown sugar and some chicken stock to a chicken and grill it over some hot charcoals for a true Indonesian surfing dinner.
