Victorian Suppers get a visit from Santa
The Suppin' Santa - SUPVic Xmas party
It was a nice lead up to christmas and a good display of the social side to Stand up paddling; with heaps of families rocking up for a day at the beach, despite the overcast and windy conditions.
SUPVic organised for a heap of identical NSP stand up paddle boards to be available for the planned novelty races. Keeping the boards identical meant an even playing field for all kinds of events, like the Parent and child relay, egg and spoon race and the Pairs blind folded race. It's a shame the conditions didn't really suit, but everyone had a good time regardless.
For the adults there were some giveaways, drinks and a BBQ at the Half Moon Bay Surf Life Saving club in the afternoon, kids were welcome of course and everyone had a great time courtesy of SUPVic. Stu Thomas was there, and said it was a "Nice mellow way to see the SUP year out, the view from that balcony with a coldie in one hand and a snag & sauce in the other...can't put a price on that."
