Last year there was some murmurings about a few crazies trying to push themselves along with a stick in the snow. Now there's proof, and even some reviews!

Some call is SUS, Stand Up Snowboarding as you might easily have imagined. It's the logical progression from Stand Up Skateboarding (also SUS) which of course all started in the water with stand up paddling, now it's gone a full circle and has come back to water, albeit the frozen kind. What will they think of next? 

Now although there's only this (and a couple of others) video, and some pretty pessimistic opinions on the forums, one guy seems to love it. He's just been down to the snow and used the purpose made stick made by Kahuna Creations, rating it very highly:

"I just got back from Perisher and can't believe how much fun this stick was! Sorry..I didn't GoPro it as I was having too much fun in the powder. Highly recommended. Look, I wouldn't jump with it, but, it was awesome for backhand turns and great for forehand turns in flatter terrains. Looks like being a great snow season, too! As with all things in life , if you are going to be stupid, well you are inviting trouble."

From the horses mouth right there, and on closer investigation  so if you're keen to brighten up your snowboarding season and you just so happen to like stand up paddling. Give it a go!
