The Stand Up World Tour event known as ‘Spot-X’ was kept behind tight lips this year, with the location only being announced at the last minute for competitors who flew in from all over the world to compete, hang out and sample the incredible waves Morocco had to offer.

Fresh off the podium in France, the surfers couldn’t believe their eyes when they showed up for the first day of competition. Amidst a hazy, windless beach in Aglou, Tiznit, 6 to 7 foot waves rolled in to offer what paddlers called “The best conditions they’ve ever surfed in, ever”.

Welcomed by the locals, and sharing in the stoke that surrounded the stand up paddling event, the worlds best stand up paddlers felt at home in Morocco, and everyone kept repeating those words…

“The best conditions in a competition I’ve ever had!”
