The 2012 Fanatic Stand up Paddle collection

Fanatic's new SUP range
The 2012 Fanatic SUP collection is here, and it's lookin' pretty shmick.

For this summer they've got a whole stack of new shapes, constructions and ideas for the sport, and that's exciting...

Here's what they had to say about the new range:

"4 Ranges and 16 Shapes sculpted by CAD technology. Rip, Slash, Glide or Race for the ultimate core connection with nature. Complimented by a choice of 4 efficient paddles, a stress-free world of fitness is just a few strokes away.

Choose from a selection of construction options from lightweight High Resistance Skin (HRS) with GripDeck Laminate for performance, comfy SoftDeck non-slip pad spec, or high-value SoftTop moulded protection eliminating the need for wax. We’ve even produced bonus models with windsurfing mast tracks for sharing the joy of sailing with friends."

For the waves, the Pro Wave line is chock full of progressive shortboard shapes, ready for the seasoned surfers among us to get out there and throw buckets off the top.

If you still call yourself a surfer, but you're not quite up for the shortboard thing - Fanatic SUP have made the All Wave line especially for you. This is a line of all rounder style surf boards, that will handle any kind of waves while still being forgiving - and the kids can take it for a cruise on the river...

Back again is the All Round collection with the familiar "Fly" range, the classic shapes are also available in a range of constructions, from the super light HRS layout, right down to some amazing budget constructions.

The fastest growing aspect of the sport could not be ignored by Fanatic either this year - with the "Fly Race" looking like a serious contender in this summers competitive scene. They squished it's hips in a little, so it's faster in the open ocean and flat water.

Of course, what would a SUP collection be without a quiver of paddles. Fanatic have a dedicated paddle development program, and they've made a point to not copy, steal, borrow or substitute from the other companies, with a totally unique assembly and zero generic parts.

Best of all, Fanatic's built a snazzy new website for SUP/Surf and last week they launched a separate Facebook Site for Fanatic SUP

Exciting times from one of the big players in SUP.
