Stealth Ninja Sup Fishing
As you might deduce from the title, this is all about fishing, and the merits of using a stand up paddle board to catch Bass. You see Stand up paddle boards are sneaky, they’re quiet and a small fish will actually pull you around quite fast if you can hook one up.
Dave Mercer, or the ‘Bass-master’ as the show likes to call him, takes his very first stroke on a stand up paddle board. He takes a few falls, says some funny things and catches a very nice fish, all the while he’s floating around on a stand up paddle board.
Stand up paddle fishing is very fast becoming a normal pastime for fisherman in flat water areas. The ease of use, and the unique vantage point makes a stand up paddle board very effective for not only getting on the water, but seeing down into it. This visibility means you can scope out the places fish like to hide, drop a line in (like a ninja) and scoop ‘em up. Or if you’re the eco kind, it means you can get out there using only muscle power, reel in some fish, give them a kiss and throw them back Rex Hunt style. Now there’s an idea! Someone find Rex Hunt and hand him a stand up paddle board.
Have you tried Stand Up Paddle fishing yet? Give it a go next time you get a flat day. Buy a $20 fishing rod, a pack of worms and take a bucket with you. It’s great fun!
Or if you feel like having a laugh, check out old mate Dave Mercer giving it a try…
