Stand Up Travelling with Dave Kalama

In the first eposide of the series, we get to see Dave go back to his old stomping grounds of Newport beach in LA. Reminiscing about growing up on the jetty, and surrounding beaches, Dave says:
"This is my old stomping ground, where I first learnt to surf! We ate sand, threw seaweed... I even remember walking out one time, right off the pier here and seeing a couple of killer whales go by. Then walking back and deciding not to get in the water"
When you watch the video it really feels like you get to spend the day with Dave, he's very open and super friendly. Until he meets Jamie Mitchell that is! As soon as Jamie tells him about the training he's got planned for the morning, Kalama starts bragging about Fiji. The plan you see, was to spend a day hanging out with Jamie in LA, then getting back on a plane to Fiji where he'll spend a few weeks surfing his new boards from Imagine Surf. Jamie doesn't think he's going, so is obviously pretty jealous. As would you or I!
In the end it seems like Jamie does get to go to Fiji, as he's shouting something about Namotu as he pulls boards from the truck. But we'll have to wait and see what happens in the next episode of Dave Kalama - Stand Up Travelling.
