Southern Cross SUP Festival next month

Check out the booklet on their website, but it shows off the beautiful location, the classy rooms, the luxury board storage and some SUP paddlers having a ball. Everything you want for a SUP event, and they reckon they'll have 150 competitors this year!
Run in conjunction with Surfing NSW, the festival of SUP will be open to all competitors, but at the same time function as the NSW state titles for selection into the Australian Surf Festival in 2013. This means we're going to see the big guns show up from NSW, plus all the boys from the Gold and Sunshine Coasts trying to push the southerners off the podium. That's in BOP, marathon, surfing and there's some prone entries too, just to show everyone that they're still around. Best of all it's only $66 to enter each division, so it's not going to cost you an arm and a leg.
It's all happening at Shoal Bay, which is a beautiful spot in Port Stephens on the mid NSW coast. While it'll be chilly in May (for the QLD'ers anyway) the weather should be outstanding. Check out all the info on their website, of the Surfing NSW website, and don't miss this one!
