Is it real? Is it fake? Is it a Sea Cow? What on earth is going on!!!!!

Last week this video popped up on YouTube, and it immediately raised questions about what's happing. At first when you notice the guy paddling across the screen, you wonder why on earth he's wobbling around so much on his board. He doesn't seem to be holding the paddle correctly, and he has no real motivation to go anywhere, instead slowly drifting over the water towards a few ripples. 

All of a sudden, the water explodes and amidst the splashes you can clearly see some kind of flipper, or a creature of some kind swimming away. They say it was a 'Lamantin' which is french for Manatee, or in laymans terms a Sea Cow. By the little winglets that kept popping up from the water it could have also been a giant manta ray, especially considering the shallow water. 

No matter what it was, it's amazing that the guy wasn't doing a jesus impression and walking on water to get back on dry land. Maybe he'll try harder not to fall off his stand up paddle board in the future?
