QLD SUP Titles Results - JP clean sweep!

These three guys all were riding the 8'0" JP
Wouldn't you love to be Mr JP right now?

It's really saying something when the top three SUP surfers in QLD are all paddling the exact same board! Jackson Close, Keahi De Aboitiz and Tim Cyprien were all left standing on the grass together on Sunday afternoon, with prizes in hand, wind ruffling their salty blonde hair and their trusty JP 8-0 x 27 boards tucked away in the back of their vans.

Yep, all three of the boys were on what's been labelled the 'board of the year' from JP. At only 8'0" long, it's challenging to paddle for the relative newby, but that's what makes her shine when you drop into anything (even small waves.) While it doesn't take away from the skill of these three paddlers, you do have to wonder how much the board really has to do with a paddlers performance?

To be fair, these three most probably would have been standing on the podium no matter what... Even if JP handed them a fence paling with a rusty nail for a fin. That includes the new face of Tim Cyprien, who's apparently taken Keahi's place as the 'super grom' in QLD. He took to the challenging conditions like a duck to water, and we'll see a lot more of the kid on the podium in the near future.

Here's a full list of the surfing results, check out the thread on the forums for more reports!
