Persistence pays off for Victorian Paddlers

Great conditions for a downwinder...
It was unseasonably warm, but boy was it windy down in Victoria earlier this week! A few brave paddlers eyed off the goods out the back though and despite a few setbacks, had to get out there...

While the kiteboarders on the west coast of Vic were loving the winds in the 25-35 knot range, the paddlers were trying to find a way to get out the back! After chewing through the RIB's propellor trying to get it in the water, and the ski's were also ruled out, the guys and girls piled in the cars and headed down the coast to a place called Shrek Shoals, (don't bother googling it, it doesn't show up) where they scored some of the best waves of the season!

Check out the full thread full of pics and reports from the day, but a massive hats off to the paddlers who not only got out there, but shredded those wind swept monsters on SUP's. Nice work!
