The worlds most famous stand up paddler and his wife, Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece just got a whole lot more famous for all the right reasons. On the contrary to what you might think if we told you they were photographed completely starkers…

No, this was not a leaked/hacked/stolen batch of naughty photos, this was for ESPN Magazines ‘Body Issue’, which is an ‘annual celebration of athletes' amazing bodies, where they stop to admire the vast potential of the human form and unapologetically stand in awe of the athletes who've pushed their physiques to profound frontiers.’

If anyone fits that description, it’s Laird Hamilton. He probably took the phone call from ESPN while dropping into a triple overhead bomb on his stand up paddle board. The guy literally lives in three places. The beach, the gym, and his bed (the guy has to sleep, surely?). Same goes for his wife, Gabby Reece, she’s a former beach volleyball superstar, which is a perfect match for the stand up paddling legend (and hunky surfer dude) Hamilton.

Being the perfect husband that he is, when asked what his favorite 'part' of wife Gabby was, he replied with the safest answer possible, and conveniently directing the conversation back the their athleticism. “I appreciate her more and more every day,” Hamilton said. “It’s nice to be with a woman who understands an
athlete and is an athlete, who has the discipline and the work ethic, but then she’s not trying to compete with you. I really appreciate that.”
