Call it an early Christmas present, or just supernatural skill. But amongst a pack of 50 other hungry surfers, Keahi not only stomps an incredible barrel, but it was claimed to be the best wave of the day. 

Apologies for the small video, it's taken from a camera view finder. Reo Stevens viewfinder to be exact (he's a famous kiteboarder), and it clearly shows Keahi nailing an EPIC barrel after an almost perfect takeoff on the north shore this week. Posted on Facebook, Reo said: 

"Keahi De Aboitiz getting drained on the sup on the n shore swell this morning. 50 guys out and he gets the best one all morning!"

Lately we haven't seen much of Keahi, he's been gallivanting around the world chasing a kitesurfing world title. He found it, so we're not too upset for him; but it's to see him back on the JP stand up paddle boards. It just goes to show that when you know how waves work, and you spend enough time on a board. You really can have (or be) the best of both worlds. He still got absolutely worked though when he didn't make the second section.
