Keahi takes on the big stuff - SUP on the Hawaiian Nth Shore
Yes, he's on a SUP. No, Really... He is!
We saw the preview a couple of weeks ago, where Keahi took a serious wipeout while trying to drop in to a massive swell. Finally we've found the real deal, edited by Reo Stevens it's one of the most amazing displays of stand up paddle surfing you'll ever see.
Whilst hanging out with his mate Reo Stevens, Keahi woke up to see this epic swell rolling in. He was understandably stoked, commenting on the video:
"Needless to say, I didn't go back to sleep and rushed out there with 80 of my best mates.. They were nice enough to let me nab a few sick ones!"
He sure had to content with some punters out there, copping a few in the back due to some serious drop in action. If it was any of us, we'd have smacked the little grommet on the head with the paddle, but Keahi didn't mind, he just kicked out and took it. What a nice bloke...
There's a constant steam of praise and admiration flowing through his facebook page, even Ex Best kiteboarding team rider, saying:
"Probably one of the best Stand up paddle boarder or even all round Watermen in the world right next to laird hamilton"
That's a big call, but after watching this video you'd be forgiven for agreeing with him. So check it out and keep an eye on Keahi's facebook page for updates on his latest escapades.
