Kai Lenny wins the Huntington Beach Pro

Lenny busts the fins out for a little Cali' sunshine...
The iconic stop for the Stand Up World tour wrapped up today, with Kai Lenny standing atop the podium after an incredible display of stand up paddle surfing at Huntington Beach, California.

After last years fourth place, Lenny had some serious catching up to do. But with some of the highest scores of the competition he tore down rivals left right and center as he advanced through the heats, eventually wining over Caio Vaz and Sean Poynter.

In a press release from Naish earlier today, they told of his explosive riding style:

“It was down to the wire today as Naish's Kai Lenny stepped up the competition, winning the Huntington Beach Pro Surf competition with non-stop, flawless action!

Wowing the judges with endless aerials and explosive surfing, Kai posted high scores in his various heats throughout the competition from the start, making it known that he's all business. Posting some of the highest scores in his opening heats (including scoring the highest heat total of the contest in Round 4 with a 18.6 out of 20), Kai's explosive style was a perfect match for the continuously changing peaks at the pier, where he put on a great show during the finals with his Naish teammates cheering on.”

Sounds like the reign of Lenny is showing no signs of easing anytime soon, so sit back and enjoy the ride as he continutes to dominate the stand up paddling world.
