Jackson Close joins team JP Australia
Jackon's now got some nice bords under his feet. Not
saying his old boards weren't!
saying his old boards weren't!
As far as companies go, he's hit the jackpot too. JP Australia are going gangbusters right now with their boards popping up at every break and flat water spot in Australia. The companies gone from nowhere last year, to being one of the big names in Australian stand up paddle brands. Granted, the boards aren't made here and Jason Polakow himself doesn't spend much time here either, but we'll still claim it as an Aussie company anyway.
So what's Jackson going to do now he's got one of the the big guns backing him? Probably nothing at all, whatever the guy's doing is obviously working! After his stellar performance in last years World titles in Peru, Jackson's topped it off this year with another great show on Oahu at Sunset beach last month (on borrowed boards!).
Joining the ranks of Keahi De Aboitiz and newest racer on the team - Peter Bartl. Jackson's got some big shoes to fill. It'll be interesting to see where he can go with some industry support.
Keep an eye on him over the next few months, and take note of what board he's riding! It's sure to be the pick of the JP range.
