Furry friends on SUP boards, but not what you think!

We've all seen photo's of dogs standing tall on the nose of a SUP board, but who's seen a seal?

A video's emerged this week of some stand up paddlers floating around a harbour in Santa Barbara, USA, when a young seal pops its head out of the water, and then proceeds to jump onto the nose of their stand up paddle board. According to one of the guys at the scene:
"This fearless little guy managed to jump up onto three different boards that day and tipped over two out of the three encounters. The expressions on their faces were priceless as they fell into the water like those taken from a scene in the movie "Jaws." I think we all wish we could have had this kind of experience with Mother Nature on our first time out on a paddle board."

I know a lot of people who wouldn't appreciate such an encounter, especially during their first time standing on a Stand Up Paddle board. But this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we're glad that somebody managed to capture it on film.

Oh, yeah we noticed the strange kayak style paddles too - maybe the seal was trying to tell the stand up paddlers that they were doing it wrong...
